Member Interviews - Things & Other Stuff

Your Name: Cliff Aliperti

Your website or blog URL:

Describe your blog or website.: The blog for movie cards and collectibles site, Immortal Ephemera features classic movie reviews and profiles of stars from the Silent Age through the Golden Age, all illustrated by vintage movie cards and collectibles.

How long has your site been active?: 2002

What do you love most about classic film and culture?: Stepping back into history

Name some of your favorite movies, stars and filmmakers (be relatively brief please!): Skyscraper Souls, Employees' Entrance, and anything else featuring Warren William; Charles Laughton, Fredric March, Clark Gable, Tyrone Power, Errol Flynn, Gene Tierney, Joan Blondell, Ann Sheridan, James Cagney, practically anything out of Warner Brothers in the 1930's and most of it from the 40's, pre-code, film noir, Orson Welles, Edward G. Robinson, The Sea Wolf, etc., etc.

If you could live in any movie, which would it be and why?: At the moment I'd pick Warren William in The Match King, A) because it airs tomorrow and is on my mind; B) because the guy went from sweeping the sidewalks outside of a Cubs game to practically controlling the world economy ... power!

How did you hear about CFCS?: Twitter

Any additional comments: Kate knows me, but we haven't met yet, Matthew, so if my answers didn't make it apparently clear I also run a Warren William fan site at and some other sites that are more general collectible and not specifically classic film related. Immortal Ephemera is attached to my classic movie card and collectibles site which has been up, running, and evolving since 2002. Pleased to meet you, Cliff
